WEAPONS OF MASS DELUSIONS

This is a collection of work triggered by watching the Iraq War on TV. I was dining comfortably in my home while bombs were falling and people were dying, on a news channel, occasionally interrupted by commercials. It suddenly struck me as absurd and obscene. It seemed that the weapons of mass destruction constantly referred to by politicians were not something Saddam Hussein was hiding, but were in the media, and the subtle ways we were being manipulated. The theme took me on an exploration of life in the 21st Century and how we, the willing somnambulists, are kept drugged, duped and indifferent.
